GENERAL CUSTOMER SALES
We sell mainly by taking orders in advance, from customers on our email list, several times a year. Customers order in response to our emailed order form by printing out and sending us a completed order form with their deposit. You can also download our order form from our website and follow the directions on the form. Order forms are updated for each distribution. Please do not use a form from a completed/past distribution.
Generally, we start taking beef and poultry orders at the end of May and September – to be picked up in July and November, respectively. Turkeys are only available the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
We sell our beef cut, frozen and wrapped. Chickens are sold frozen—whole or as parts. We sell our whole turkeys fresh or frozen.
DEPOSITS
A deposit is required on all orders. We are unable to reserve items until we receive a deposit. There is a minimum $25 deposit on any order, however,
the deposit amount may be higher depending on what and how much is ordered. For example, each chicken ordered requires a $5 deposit. An eighth of a beef would require a $50 deposit, etc.
PAYMENT––CASH, CHECK, CREDIT CARD
Your deposit can be mailed with your order form. You may also email or fax in your order form and pay by credit card over the phone: call the office Monday to Thursday, 11:30 am-3:30 pm at 301-983-2167. A 5% fee will be added to your credit card deposit to cover processing fees. What the credit card company does not charge us, we will credit towards your final balance.
The remainder of your charges will be payable by check, cash, or credit card at pick up.
PICK-UP
Most orders are picked up at either the Buckeystown or the Potomac location.
In July we schedule a weekend pick-up, usually after the July 4th holiday.
In November, we schedule a mid-month weekend pick-up and then another scheduled pick-up during the two days before Thanksgiving. Turkeys are only available for pick-up the two days before Thanksgiving.
FARM TOUR SALES
We sell our products, including chicken, eggs, and retail cuts of beef, at our annual Buckeystown Farm Tour – usually the third weekend in October. Bulk beef is not available at the tour but we can take bulk beef orders, as well as turkey orders, for our November distribution. Click here for Farm Tour details and our Retail Price List. No advance order is necessary to purchase at the farm tour. The tour is free to the public and is appropriate for the entire family—but no pets please.
SELF-SERVICE SALES
We offer some products, such as eggs and poultry feed, on a self-service basis, available daily at any time of day.
Feed must first be ordered in advance on a monthly basis in response to the monthly reminder email we send to our feed customers. Click here for more detail on ordering feed.

SPECIAL ORDER SALES
A few products, such as hay, straw, grain, seed, and large orders of ground beef and sausage, are sold by special appointment. Special orders of $50 or more may also be arranged if we have product available.
DELIVERY
In general, we do not deliver individual customer orders of beef, chicken, or turkey. A fee will be charged for any delivery of large quantities of products, such as hay, straw, grain, etc.
